Scott is the founder of the James Law Firm PLLC. After graduating in the top third of his class at KU law, Scott practiced civil litigation and advice at the law firm of Riling, Burkhead and Nitcher, Chtd in Lawrence, Kansas from 2006-2008. He worked as an Assistant County Attorney in Dodge City Kansas from 2008-2016 handling all types of cases, including homicide, violent crime, property crime, traffic, and other cases. Mr. James was an integral part of the 2011 Dodge City RICO indictment of the Norteno Street Gang in Dodge city. Scott was presented with a Guardian of Justice Award by the United States Attorney's Office for his efforts in that case. Scott has had the privilege of serving as Kiowa County Attorney from 2013 through the present. As Kiowa County Attorney, Scott has represented the County in all matters, civil and criminal. Scott lives in Spearville, Kansas, with his wife and enjoys hiking and visiting our National Parks. 

 

Chay T. Howard

Chay is a recent graduate who has returned to his roots in the Kiowa County Community. He graduated from Saint Louis University in the top 40% of his graduating class. He interned for the Hon. Stephen Williams, Federal Magistrate in  Federal Court of Illinois-Southern District. Chay also was involved in the Civil Litigation Clinic at Saint Louis University while in law school. Chay attended grade school at Havilland Elementary School and has many fond memories of growing up in this area. He joined the James Law Firm in July 2016. He has been focusing his practice on Estate Planning and Criminal Law. Chay and his wife live in the Greensburg Community.
